You must be having a lot of fun with your new toy, Gary!

Looks like a very good camera to me. Such exquisite detail and contrast and quite some range from light to dark too (I know there is a special technical expression for this, but it doesn't come to me right now - but I'm sure you know what I'm talking about!). Nice yellows and greens, too.

Yes - that's it! Dynamic range - I knew I have read about it somewhere, but English not being my mothertongue, it's not easy to remember expressions not used everyday.

what software are you using to reduce the size? The ones I post totally look different from what I see in yours. Mines are more blurry. I usually increase sharpness by 50 percent just to make the picture look like the one I have on my drive compared to the one uploaded to the web.

Is it resized or..you mentioned "cropped a little".
