I suppose... if it's not clean. You lose about a half stop at full zoom with the filter. I have a CPL for mine but haven't used it yet. I tend to use it to cut reflective glare from water or windows. Some use it to enhance the sky color. I find the HS-10 does a fine job with sky color without the filter.
