B&H is a reputable retailer but their return policy is not nearly as good as Amazon. I'd definitely go with Amazon, even if the price was a bit higher.

251.70 in real money lol current UK price on Amazon.

The 30x zoom lens for wildlife capture is worth that price alone. getting some fantastic captures of garden birds.

Incidentally how would I go about returning my HS10 to Amazon under warrantee if I ever needed to and the other question I have is
Do Amazon offer an extended warrantee ?

Assuming that the Amazon UK site is the same as the US, you click on "your account" then "view your orders" then login to your account, list your recent purchases (last 30 days), click on Return Items button for the item you wish to return. Make the appropriate selections and the system will ask if you wish to mail the item back yourself or have the currier pick it up (and Amazon charges you s/h). This is, of course, if your return does not qualify for free shipping back to Amazon. If you are returning the item due to a defect, then Amazon will make you print a pre-paid shipping label.

I've seen extended warranty being offered for certain items but it's not from Amazon.

When you register your camera on myfinepix.co.uk you will be sent an email the following day from fuji to extend the warrenty that includes accidental damage the options are to extend to 3, 4 or 5 years for a reasonable price.

As time goes by, the tendency is for its price to drop further (below $300 I believe).

Yes, I'm sure it will drop more after the holiday season. I don't think it will take long to go below $300.
