Default HS10 Parrots

Just a few parrot shots taken with different settings for those who may be interested in the HS10. I feel that I can get the most from the HS10 in Manual and Aperture Modes (personally speaking only).

EXIF: Aperture/F5.6/1/200s/ISO200

I wanted to see how the scene modes and 'auto' modes performed. EXIF for this shot: Program Mode/F4.5/1/250s/ISO200

Peek-a-Boo - EXIF: Manual Mode/F5.6/1/125s/ISO400

Quail - EXIF: Aperture Mode/F5.6/1/200s/ISO800

EXIF: Aperture Mode/F5.6/1/75s/ISO200

There are a few more HS10 shots in my Flickr sideshow located here for anyone interested including OOC image:

Want a little "booster"? Pick up Scott Kelby's "The Digital Photography Book" - Vols 1 & 2.

Gjoth and Insomniac - thank you!

Gjtoth, I shot these at a local avairy and was able to get very close to the birds. In fact, the red one fell off the tree and slammed into the ground. Luckily, an attendant rushed quickly in to make sure the bird was ok and to rectify things. Poor bird. He looked a little sleepy to me and I think he may have dozed off and lost his footing. Either that, or someone slipped him a little Irish Whiskey.

These are all fabulous - color, contrast and detail are almost HDR-like.

How do we know which are OOC (or which are not)? And which camera was used for the in-flight hummingbirds (the P series images)?
