Default I doan get it....

OK, after seeing the shots with the Raynox 250, I got one for my HS10. Only one problem so far.....how in de heil do you get it to focus
I extend the zoom out past the lens "shadowing" ( is that what I'm seeing when the lens is all the way in at 24mm? ) and I can't tell what I'm even looking at. I tried auto focus, nada, and manual, same nothingness. HELP me Mister Wizard!!!!!

OK....I stuck with it, and here are my first results. These are beads my wife sculptures ( lampwork ) in a flame. The bead is about the size of a quarter.

You're getting it. The DCR-250 has an extremely shallow DOF and is a little tricky to work with but once you get it figured out, you'll get some outstanding macros.
