The first one and the last candle one are my favs. Birds are never helpful in photography. Look away at the last second. It does seem like the weather is dark and stormy where you are...what time of year is it there?
I have done candle shots before, next time use several in a grouping.

nice series.. look like HS 20 perform very well in difficult situation...
If I remember correctly HS -20 can take the shot in RAW file too.. I am wondering do the Fujifilm provide RAW convertor ( like Canon) with cam s/w .. Do you need to depend on 3rd party program ......???

i am unable to go out as it's raining here almost everyday.

lilonewolf : its the starting on monsoon in india... i will also try the multiple candle pic.

hs-20 is indeed a great camera and if in hands of a good photographer it
does make some great images.

fuji gives the silkypix that does help on raw file conversion. also
now adobe supports fuji raw. they have updated it recently..

i missed my tripod again yesterday due to rains. i might go ahead and get it today if weather is good. all these are still hand held...
