Default New Firmware Ver.1.03 for HS20EXR

Fujifilm has released a new firmware Ver.1.03 for the HS20EXR. This solves 2 issues as stated in the fuji website.

1. Occasionally, preview image on EVF / LCD after pressing the shutter halfway might be darker than live view, according to aperture setting or brightness of shooting target. This phenomenon is improved.

2. The message of the temperature warning just before shutting down the camera is changed.

Current message:
The temperature inside the camera is heating up. Please wait for a few minutes. Maximum internal temp has been reached.

New message:
Turn off & allow to cool or will turn off automatically.

The new firmware can be downloaded from http://www.fujifilm.com/support/digi...0exr/fupd.html.

This is just for the information of forum members.

Mine kept shutting down on me tonight, even on only 30 second vids. I didn't buy this camera for the video properties, but, for everything else it can do. I use my S2000HD for videos. I can make 33- 3 1/2 minute videos on one charge of my batteries and it never heats up...J4c

The brightness of the picture on the LCD and the photo downloaded are the same now, something i reported with my HS10 .
They have it fixed now , great job, but the picture is a bit brighter than what you see with your own eyes.
But now you can easely adjust the EV, so no more suprises.
About the overheating thing i do not know.

Thanks to the Fuji guy's !!

Now plesae fix the "shutter lag" ( it does not have a shutter i know, but the delay )

Oh, that is a great news... I have heard that this latest firmware has even improved the IQ to some extent. Few other forums have reported that the noise in images has reduced from before.

If its possible kindly post some before/after images from the camera with the old firmware and the new one.
