For me, the colors are great , but they are all moved.

What shutter speed setting did you use?

I took some photos of my son running and playing around. I used 1/1000 and the action was completely freezed.

faizal, some really nice shots but, they all seem to be a bit out of focus or motion blur.

Thanks for the tips.

For this first time, i set the S7000 at aperture priority f/2.8 and let the camera choose the shutter speed. the light was not that good as it was close to sun set already.

i got tips that i should set both shutter and aperture myself...next time i'll try that. thinking to use shutter priority at 1/250s but the light was not enough that day. there were just stadium lights.

anyway, here are some more shots after i have done some post processing - noise cleaning, USM with PS CS and photo cropping.

It's just the camera settings, and a learning curve. I have seen sports photos with the S7000 that were excellent. As with everything, it takes time to learn the ins and outs. Sports shots are some of the hardest to get, and that's with any camera.
