Default MagicStor MD & S7000

:?:

It can be too late, but ......... I will ask.

I placed an order for a Magicstor 2.2GB Microdrive for my Fuji S7000 camera. I hope to have enough space for at least 1000 photos @ 6MP. Its price is only $178, good deal ... I guess.

My "too late" questions are: ops:

- Is this a good and reliable microdrive?
- Should I pay more and buy the IBM/Hitachi?
- Is somebody using this combination (S7000 and the Magicstor)? Good or Bad?

Thanks a lot!! I hope that I made a good purchase. :?:

Hi,

Thanks all for replying. I am sure now that I had a great deal.

My questions again.

Is this a good and reliable microdrive?
Anyone using this MD with the S7000? Good or bad?

Thanks again.

Hey! I just bought the s7000 and Im looking for the 2,2GB also. I read a lot about this microdrive and looks like this device have some problem! a lot of canon cameras owners are really sad about magicstor 2,2GB.

Go check:

May be I'm one of the lucky fews, I got a 2.2GB MagicStor for my 10D over several months now and it's been working fine... The 2GB MagicStor is also OEMed by Transcend and PNY as well as others... 8)

BTW the lowest cost/MB champion however is still to get the Muvo2 MP3 player, or the iPod MINI!

Hi guys,

I got the Magicstor Microdrive. Initially, I had some problems formatting it with the camera, but after that it has been working like a charm.

My only concern is that it gets hot like hell  . I believe that this is normal for microdrives. I hope.

Thanks,
