Default 2GIG

It should be 2GiG since it is FAT 16. FAT 16 won't recognize anything any larger.

There is much larger drive available that claims to somehow partition itself so you can go above the 2GIG limit but its new on the market.

Looks like a very big effort with questionable results. If the frame counter goes haywire over 2Gig you might have buffer overrun errors even software crashes and data loss. It might be risky, maybe not but you never know.

The best case scenario would be if Fuji offered a FAT32 firmware that allows for "native Use" of the larger drive in the S2, S602 and S7000. It could even be done without FAT32 by allowing the camera to partition the HD.

I am using the Magicstor 2.2g microdrive without any problems so far. However if I try to put in a xD card in at the same time, I get a 'Card Error' message in red on the display.

I know that the two media types can be inserted at the same time, but I can't get it to work with the Magicstor, any thoughts?

Thanks,
Dave
