Default Web camera

Iím interested in purchasing a camera with web camera abilities,
I was thinking of the FinePix 401. in the specifications, I read that
The camera delivers 320 x 240 10 fps speed, when recording in the
moving picture mode, and limited to size of the memory. If I use
the camera for web camera what will be the size and the rate
I will be able to deliver? Will I be able to deliver 640 x 480 30 fps
Like the Creative PC-CAM 750?

Nester, did you ever figure out the answer to your question? I am interested in the same issue and was curious as well.

Default Re: Web cam issue

Read my post here about the finepix 2800's webcam feature:

I'm not sure if this affects other Fuji models but you might want to check it out before buying. The 2800's highest webcam resolution is 320x200 and I'm pretty sure that will go for most digital cameras, especially at a framerate of 30fps.

If you're looking for that type of video quality I recommend you get a cheap sony handycam and a video capture card for the computer, you will be able to use it as a webcam with zoom and title and other such features, and some of them take stills as well.
