Dude! That's what I call a nice photo - moody and evocative.

I presume you took that with your S5100?

What about your "Strength in Time" shot, was that your S5100?

I only ask because I am the soon-to-be proud owner (xmas morning)

of an S5100 and I was a little concerned about the apparent

purple fringing in that one. Of course shooting a light fixture

in an otherwise low-light environment is bound to get a little funky,

perhaps I shouldn't be so :Oconcerned about the purple.

Speaking of questions - you never did tell me whether you keep

the adaptor ring on your S5100 (all the time, as Fuji recommends)

and whether you think keeping a UV screwed on the front of that

all the time wouldbe a good idea. Anyway, I guess I'll find out in

another 29 days. Can you tell I'm eager? I'll be more excited than

the kids come xmas eve.

Anyway, nice photo! I would say that's may favourite Joelw135,

at leastof the ones you've posted here recently.

The strength in time was taken with my Olympus 700 the one of the dam on lake with the Fuji S5100, the Fuji all in all is a much better camera. Yes I do keep the lens adapter on the S5100 all the time with a UV filter. I just purchased the Fuji Wide Angle lens made for the S5100 and have just started using it. Very nice pictures. I am sure you will be happy with the S5100, but my only suggestion is to buy some high capacity AA batteries that are rechargeable. I just ordered 4 Energizer 2500 NIMH for mine.

Thanks Joel.

So the picture I liked bestwas theS5100, and the other one

was not. Well, that certainly pleases me, I couldn't be happier.

I have two sets of NiMH AAs and a charger from my (really) old Olympus

(I dare not speak its name). The S5100 will be my first "serious" venture

into digital. Ican't justify sticking with 35 mm any longer.

The old bag o' lenses is now just so much junk I guess.

But it will be refreshing to use just one compact, yet very versatile,

little camera to achieve what I hope will be very comparable results.

(I say, holding this 55 mm UV in my hand, and wishing xmas would

hurry up and get here.)

Thanks Joel.

Nice shot man. I really like the reflections in the water.
