You can use the 5100 as a webcam, but only if you have service pack 1 installed, I would assume if you had 2 installed it would work as well, but im not sure. Also if you have video input on your computer, you can use that as a webcam in some programs, by using the yellow and white rca cables.

picsel , in order to record your images and store them on your pc , you need to use a capture program like for example your default capture program that comes with windows XP - Movie Maker that is very easy to use . Another program that is more complex is Adobe Premiere Pro ... and i heard that there are many more .. but i'm working with these two. For begining i recomend using the moviemaker.

About your drivers , what windows are you using ?

For the camera to work as a webcam , you don't have to install all fuji software , you just have to install the right driver ( if u are using usb streaming )

I do not recomend ACE , because they mess your codecs so bad ... if u want stable codecs use ffdshow in combination with AC3filter.. and that's all .. no tray icons and no problems

enjoy , nenea picsel
