Well... on the way back and forth between my knee doctor, and the hospital for my pregnant wife, I took out the ol' camera (you know I travel EVERYWHERE with it) and snapped some shots today. Hope you enjoy them... As always, it's my Fuji Finepix s602z 3.3MP, 6X optical zoom lens showing it's worth. Resized for your viewing pleasure, originals are available, just pm me. Opinions and tips are always welcomed...

I've even got a surprise video from my Birthday lunch at Master Wok's China Buffet! All I'm saying is I found Nemo!

First up, a big beautiful American flag I saw from about 1-2 miles away... enjoy. =o) She's beautiful.

Next up... a smaller flag, but beautiful non-the-less!

Remember that night shot of the church? If not, here's the same church in the daytime, from multiple angles. I didn't even have to leave my car... just drove around and around... lol. I hope my composition skills are getting better.

Then I had to goto downtown and get my driver's licence renewed, or I'd have no licence! Last day to do it... good thing my wife reminded me on the way home from the doctors! So here's Downtown Springfield, MO.

Last but not least is Nemo! =o) Enjoy... a short 11MB video of the aquarium at Master Wok's China Buffet! The pics didn't come out well, but this camera as you can see does awesome 30 FPS, 640X480 video!!! =o) God, I love this camera...

Hope everyone enjoyed the pics and video!

Thank you very much... a computer forum I frequent is where I usually post most of my work since it's a busy place...

I like replies to my threads, otherwise I don't know what works well.

Our Fuji forum isa little "dead" compared to many here, so I'm here to shake things up... and get the blood moving again!

FUJI FORUM USERS UNITE! =o)

Hello tlm, I also have a Fuji 602, and share your enthusium. Many thanks for sharing your images and experience.

Do you notice the images are a little "dull" ? Well I do, maybe it's me. I seem to like more punch, like more contrast, color & brightness. I am wondering if other brands of digicams are any better.

I usually alter/improve my images with software. Your MuralDownTown image is excellent. Just similiar to what I would expect from my 602.

Now please dont take this as any critism of that image, but here is a sampleof the 602 image as I usually "enhance" them.

Any opinions or advice regarding the 602 images would be welcome.

Regards, Baz.

Heya Baz... Nice to meet you. From across the world! =o)

Gotta love our global community we have here...

I like what you did with my image, definate improvement. The only post processing I am capable of, without further study into my Paint Shop Pro program is unsharp filter.

What did you do in your photo program to get that result?

Again, I will you an unsharp mask to sharpen up photos all the time, and get great improvements because as you know, the Fuji s602's main shortcoming is the "softness" of it's photos. Actually it's color representation is one of the best I've read about... reds will sometimes be a little orange in color, but all is fixable in a good photo program as you have shown.

If you'd like to see more shots, please head to http://www.quantumdefect.com/tlmiller10

It's filled with all my shots... in index form, no webpage made yet.

Thanks for stopping by and please email me at [email protected] with some photo shop tips that I can use to alter my images better, I'd appreciate it!

Hi Tim, thanks for the prompt reply. I wonder what time it is at your place. Must be late. It is 8.40pm here on Monday in New Zealand.

I dont have PhotoShop, so cant advise on that. I do have Adobe Photo delux, which is OK, but the one I use is "DCEnhancer" from http://www.mediachance.com

It is a free program. Very simple.

One can open an image, which is showed in two windows. Then one can alter the midtones, the color, the white balance, enhance, & denoise. All changes are shown in the right side window. Then you can save the the new version at several compressions.

Regards, Baz, from New Zealand.
