I,ve just bought a Fujifilm S7000 Zoom and I was looking at prices for a AC adapter. The cheapest I could find one was for £30 ($45-50). I was wondering if I could use the Ac Adapter from my old camera Fujifilm Finepix F410 Zoom. Both cameras need DC5v output and that's what it says on the old adapter.

Also could anyone tell me if you can charge the batteries in the camera using a AC adapter.

Hi livvy,

While the 5vDC of the old adapter may be correct, you should also check the milliamp rating. I don't know who in the UK sells the universal AC adapters, in the US they are available at Radio Shack for around $19 US. The S7000 does not charge the batteries when you have an external AC adapter plugged in, you need an external battery charger. The best rechargeable batteries to use are NiMh type with a 2300 mah rating or greater, though the 1800 to 2100 mah ones will work.
