I called Fuji in NJ and spoke with a repair tech about my 8 month old Finepix 3800 with a zoom error problem and was told that I might want to look in to purchsing a new camera as the cost to repair would be more than a new model cost. Without admiting that this is a design flaw,he was very aware of the problem and would not tell me what the cause was or if the repair would prevent the problem from returning. I am very sorry I purchsed this camera and will nevey buy another Fuji product in the future.

I'd get it fixed under the terms of the 1 year warantee.
