Hi there.

I just bought a finepix s5500 and im very happy about it. I've heard that the camera also can be used as a webcam. Does anyone know how to do that - and where I can get the software???

If you are running Windows 2000 or above you do not need any software. Just go to the setup modeof your cameraget to the usb setup and set it to webcam, after doing this turn off the camera and plug in your usb cord turn the camera back on and windows will see it as a webcam.. Good luck..

The camera documentation only mentions Windows XP. I haven't tried using my S5500 as a web cam yet on my Windows 2000 machine partly for this reason (and partly because I just haven't had time)
Has anyone sucessfully used and S5500 as a webcam under Windows 2000? Any problems?

has anyone been able to figure out how to use s5100 as a webcam with yahoo or msn? yes, it does capture video in windows xp as can be seen in the explorer, but the messengers would not recognize it (yahoo messenger says camera does not support the required resolution, or something along this line). tx.

I just hooked my S5100 as a webcam through AIM and the video was reversed...weird stuff.

I didn't fully test it beyond that, it seems to work besides the aforementioned problem.
