I was trying to get a Skylight or UV filter for my S5100,... but it looks like i need to buy a lens cap too, because the one that came with the bundle is too deep,... I mean it touches the filter and can´t make it fit.

Is there any filter brand useful for the S5100 lens cap?

Thanks

http://www.camerafilters.com

Highly recommended, and reputable site. Check em out, just find out what size in mm your lens is you need covering, and they'll have a size available.

Thank me later...

Uhmmm that´s not the problem...

The lens´ size is 55mm, but I´m talking about the cap...

It´s like the fuji cap is way too deep...

anyway thanks for the link.

They (that site I linked to) will have a generic replacement cap to go on your 5100.

Which is what you asked, correct? A new cap?

There is a cheap trick to keep your cap: you should buy TWO cheap UV-filters, remove the lens from the second one (you get the pure ring). Use them together and you could use the original Fuji lens cap :-) It is working for me.

Just get a generic 55mm lens cap. I paid about $3USD at Ritz for mine. The stock cap is stepped andmade to fit the camera(52/53mm?) and the extension adapter (55mm).
