Newby here, and had a question regarding use of the hood and filters. I leave my hood on all the time, to act as a shade, and I like the look with it on :-) Was wondering if I were to get a filter, do I put in on the end of the hood, or between the camera and hood? This is probably elementary to you guys, but I don't know. Thanks in advance.

I assume that the 'hood' you're referring to is the screw-in lens adapter that came with the camera. Correct me if I'm wrong. You should screw any filters etc onto the hood, not between the camera and the hood. If you screw somethign between the camera and hood, it will obstruct the lens as it extends, most likely damaging your camera (if you've seen any posts about 'zoom errors' you'll know what I mean!).Hope this answers your question.
