Well, I think I'm getting a tad bet better at using the S5100 especially in the macro mode. Here are two that I took today. I think the first would have been better if I had been using a monopod or tripod, both were hand held. Comments appreciated.

I feel this one is the better of the two. Shows the wings folded which helps in identifications.

Good shots. I have a few macro lenses coming I ordered and hopefully I will be able to get some good close up shots too.*

Thanks, I shot these in the macro mode. What is the advantage of using a macro lens with the S5100?

Hopefully I will be able to get a closer shot from further away with the macro lens. Here are some shots a friend took with a macro lens using a Sony P&S .
