it's not that, they're selling the camera in combination with a mobilephone membership!
That's why you get it for 150 euro's, you're not paying only those 150 euro's but also have to pay for a monthly membership. Ofcourse this only is possible if you live in Germany....

warning! I have noticed that the s9000 examples look A LOT better on my 21-inch CRT at work than on my 15-inch TFT flatscreen at home!!
much sharper and with less noise!

So don't just judge the camera on simple what you see, the computer screen seems to be an important factor too, so check what type you're using before slaugthering the examples :-)

Ok, here's a question, why do the specs on some websites seem different than others?
I really love using long exposures so when i saw it had 30 second exposure times i thought that would be fine for what i need, but then on some other sites it says it only had a minimum shutter speed of 1/4 sec "depending on shooting mode"
Does anyone know what the slowest shutter speed really is on this camera?

According to the manual:

Auto,Portrait, Lanscape etc settings: 1/4 sec to 1/4000 sec

Night: 4 sec to 1/500 sec

P/S/A: 4 sec to 1/4000 sec. M: 30 sec to 1/4000 sec

Hope this helps - I assume the manual is correct! Getting mine later this week.

It's so unfair the price we have to pay for goods in England!!! I just ordered my S9500 and it was equivelant $855. That was the cheapest "safe" place I could get it from.
You didn't try Dabs then

2 more example pix.
Note: first photo is great, second photo is done in macro i think, and has a DOF issue, all corners are blurred.

The second foto is taken in super macro mode under a slight angle. The area captured is about 5 by 4 centimeters
