I had all but decided to upgrade from an s3000 to the s5200 when I started reading about the issues w/ Fuji's prior use of the superccd. As I am truly a beginner w/ only a year under my belt, and only just now learning some of the technical aspects of digital photography, should I be concerned?? Can anyone explain to me why the superccd was generally considered a disappointment?? Thanks in advance for any help or advice you can give. Jennifer

I think the "disappointment" had nothing to do with the quality of images Fuji produced. It had more to do with the marketing concept Fuji decided to use for their interpolation ofpixels and claiming a higer resolution. When you compare price, features and image quality Fuji can't be beat in any of it's model clases.

JMO, your milage may vary.
