My new S5200 arrived at 9:12am Arizona Standard Time.
Hight: 3.3"
Weight: 13.1 oz
No visible birth defects

I put in the batteries, loaded and formatted my 1 gig XD picture card, set the time/date function, set the camera for Raw shooting and turned the puppy on. First photo, a macro shot of a Dr. Pepper pop bottle sitting on my desk. Natural Light. Hand held.

Processed with Fuji RAW into .tif file.
1st picture: as it came from the camera.

2nd picture: auto-fix with PhotoShop Elements 3.0

Warning: These are HUGE files and will take time to upload.

Your raw converter apparently resized your "straight from the camera" image. According to the pixel dimensions in the EXIF data, that is a 9.7 MP file.

Yarnspinner-

Like you, I too have great expectations for the Fuji S-5200. I loved my Fuji S-5000 and really hope that the new S-5200 will provide equally good photos.

jphes: Actually, indeed, the .tif file is larger than the original .raw file. I should have just saved it as a .jpg for posting.

ultrazoom: I can't say enough about the quality of the pictures this camera has produced. I'm still feeling it out, but I can't complain at all. I'm quite sure you will be pleased as well.
