Does anyone have any indoor action pics taken at 800or 1600 iso? I've taken pics with my Canon Rebel 35MM with 400 speed film in the past (and my K1000 for all you Pentax fans). I'm trying to find out how the S5200 would fare at my daughters' basketball games and gymnastic meets. Thanks.

I can offer this one taken with a Fuji F-10 at ISO 1600. It does not have much action though. However, it will give you an idea of what ISO 1600 looks like with no flash.

Here is a shot from Moscow. It is the opera Boris Gudanov taken in the Bolshoi Theater with no flash with my Pentax 1st DS. The ISO was set to 3200.

codimac2-

The breakfast scene shutter speed was 1/40th, the opera scene was 1/180th. So you can easily see the advanatge of using ISO 3200.

Have you tried getting any of those images printed? I'm curious on the results of an 800 or 1600 and how it might look after printing.

Both make very attractive prints.
