Hi!

I thought the two, S9000 and S9500 are the same camera?

Cheers!

I understand they are the same camera. Here in the US, its called the S9000, while across the pond over in the UK, its called the S9500. Why they have a diffrent number, beats me.

I read somewhere that it is to do withconsiderations concerningpreviously registered names/numbers in a product name. For exampleif in the USthe term 9500was alreadysynonomous with saya printeror a cpu model range, one wouldn't want to release a new camera with the same generic identity.

How true that is I don't know - just passing it on for what it is worth.

I just wish they did them in a wider range of colours.
