erm.. i know its a dumb question but I cant find any refference to it in the manual.. but the shutter button does accept a cable release doesnt it???

No matter.. found it in the manual and it is shutter release cable compliant for those who come across this.

thanks for the question and the answer

But my question is, is every cable release the same, so can you buy for example an nikkon or canon releaser or do you need one specific type?

assuming it is a mechanical thread-in type release -> they are all the same
