s9500 62L15835 working fine, but I've only had it a short while. Not sure what firmware, haven't bothered to check, will it tell you on the exif?

Hi,

I totally agree with toad. The S9500 was the worst digital camera I have had. I got rid of mine and bought the Nikon D50. There is no comparison.

S9500 61Q53923, seems ok but I wish I'd bought a DSLR.

Hi,

When I first got the S9500, I thought that it was just me. I was finding that i had to take everything in RAW to get a decent photo. I sent 4 sample shots to Fuji and they said there was nothing wrong with them, but I was never convinced. Also Fuji said that the S9500 was a very noise free camera. Well I thought that it was not. In the end I sold it a got the Nikon D50. I have compaired shots from the S9500 and the D50, and the D50 is much better quality.

I have had my S9500 repared twice due to it being out of focus on the right hand side and the command dial also broke, they sent it back only replacing the lens but it was no better then i sent it off again and they sent it back with a fixed dial but lens still no good and after a lot of hassle they replaced the camera only to find this one is even worse with crazy amounts of blur on the right hand side!!!

First camera was 53Q14887

New camera is 53Q18124

Looks good so far. Haven't taken too many photos yet, but the focus seems to work well. Got some decent shots with the Auto mode and the manual focus is good. I can see what people say about the colors being a bit desaturated and the images a bit soft on the default settings, but I prefer post processing anyway. I'll cross my fingers and hope nothing goes wrong.

53Q19551 S9500 BAD (left side blurry)

--- EDIT ---
Just got it back from Fuji after only 12 days, and it now works great... They changed the whole lens, guess they are used to this particular problem!
