Hi All

Can anyone recommend a decent telephoto lens (make/model) for my S9500...? I'm happy with the camera's own lens but just want to venture a little further. :-)

Thanks in advance.

Hope you find the following useful

The FinePix S9000 digital camera can use 58mm filters available from professional photo supply retailers. Unfortunately, you cannot attach adapter rings, telephoto lenses or wide-angle lenses to the S9000 lens. We are unaware of what Raynox has been producing for this unit and do not recommend using them until we have run tests.

This information was posted by another member i stumbled across it after i read your question.

This is the response I got from Fuji when I raised the subject with them a while back. I know Proton has the Raynox which I think he is still using - seem to remember him saying that it worked OK but that care had to be exercised when using it because of its size and weight.Hope this helps

"We confirmedwith FujifilmJapan that Fujifilm has no association with the creation of these lenses by Raynox and do not recommend using these lenses. Although they may be compatible, we are advising consumers to use these lenses at their own risk. We will continue to only recommend 58mm filters which are commercially available. It may be possible that adding these lenses may damage the S9000 lens due to the added weight to the front of the lens. However, we have had no reported service problems at this time to confirm this. This camera was not designed for attaching additional lenses to it. Fujifilm worked hard in developing such a superb lens assembly that there would be no need for using wide angle or telephoto lenses."

this is the raynox 2.2 telelens.

I only attach it when I need to make pix with it, I don't carry it around on my camera and use it carefully.
