To find out that I have been walking around with a camera that has such reach gives me a new 'photographic feeling', especially at the price I bought it for.

As they say 'A picture is worth a thousand words".

Hi Proton & All,

I did fish through that thread to check your tele images out.

I think your post regarding your tele-converter deserves its own thread so everyone can get a chance to see your results in one easy location.

this picture was taken from a churchtower at 53 meters height (approx. 165 feet). View was bad, only 1.5 km (a bit less than 1 mile) visible, not very clear. I had to adjust the photo to make details more visible. The bridge is about 3km away, setting used was S9500 with full 300mm zoom, 2.2x teleconverter attached and 2x digital zoom used. Result is 300mm x 2.2 = 660mm x 2 = 1320mm zoom.

Picture was shot out of hand, supported on a fence.
