Photoshop Elements 3 and 4 both will support the RAW files from the 9000/9500. But you have to download Adobe Camera Raw 3.3 beta from the Adobe download area. The camera is not on the official list of supported cameras yet because they are still working on the profile for the camera. But it will load the RAW images and allow you to edit them.

I use PS Elements 4, after the Beta 3.3 download. Works fine.

Don't know about longer than 1 sec exposures.

PS E4 is also excellent at emptying your s9000 of pics.

Regards, Nicholas

I have just yesterday discovered the issue about RAW images with long exposures and ACR beta 3.3. Any explanations? However, in Fuji's Hyper Utility it works fine...

Am I able to use the RAW Converter Beta 3.3 download with Adobe CS? Because I thought I needed to have CS2 for it to work.

But you can download the latest version of the Adobe's DNG converter (3.3 Beta version) and use that program to convert your RAW images to digital negative (DNG). Then you will be able to open those files in Camera Raw in Photoshop CS. The digital negative is a new "open" format that Adobe has developed that allows you to take advantage of all of the RAW benefits, but in a standard format. They are trying to get all of the camera manufacturers to adopt it, but I think they are dreaming. It is, however, a way for you to keep yourself a little more current. If you look through the Adobe website you will be able to find a white paper or two on the subject.
