Does it reset the all the settings to factory?

If it does, then that would be a drag to go into each menu and set them up again, i.e. megapixel size, Multi, white balance etc...

Does anybody know?

thanx.

I read somewhere in the manual that the camera will retain the settings for several hours before it will reset everything to the defaults. I always have another set charged and ready to use so I have never experienced any problems.

Just heard from Stephen Hawking - he's flumoxed and says history may have to be re-written.
