Thanks for the info on s7RAW. It is an excellent program, I like it!

And it loads the S9500 raf with no problems.

Another toy to play with.

If it can help, I did try Hyper-Utility2. To work with the S9000/9500 version 3.1 is needed. Previous versions can be uprgraded downloading the upgrade program from the Fuji's site.

RAW File Converter for my S9500 gives control over the following parameters:

Color Space / Film Simulation
sRGB IEC1966

Number of pixels
4864 x 3648
3488 x 2616
2592 x 1944
2048 x 1536
1600 x 1200
640 x 480

Destination file format
16bit TIFF
8bit Exif-TIFF
8bit Exif-JPEG (FINE)
8bit Exif-JPEG (NORMAL)
8bit Exif-JPEG (BASIC)

Conversion Conditions
Camera Setting
Custom Setting

If you choose "Camera Setting" the conversion works according to the camera operator settings, if you choose "Custom Setting" it is possible to define the following parameters for the RAW converter (about the same available in the camera menu):

F
Camera Setting
STANDARD
CHROME
B&W

Tone
Camera Setting
Manual setting (This option allows to freely modify the Input-Output curve for R, G, B or RGB)
STD
HARD
SOFT

WB
Camera Setting
A lot of presets, plus a custom selection for Color Temperature (2500-9500K) and fine tuning.

Sensitization
Camera Setting
-1EV to +2EV in 1/6EV steps

Color
Camera Setting
STD
HIGH
LOW

Sharpness
Camera Setting
SOFT
NORMAL
HARD

Hope this helped.

Ulisse and all other interested people

Have you clicked on the spanner/wrench icon. There is more options there. The most important one being 3 levels of quality of conversion. The highest is better than any others I have used.
Read this from halfway down the page and the next couple of pages to see what it can do.

I had an email from Fuji, explaining that the version of Hyper utility sent was not the most recent, and given a url to download the 138 MB upgrade. Upgrade works ok, and even the E900 is included for RAW convertion.
