pr126-

Yes, having flown many passengers to both LHR and LGW, I know that it is already late at night in England.

So for today I will give you an English photo, the London Eye. Your photos, as always, are wonderful. Thanks for posting them. By the way, my husband and I will be returning to England for a week of driving about and enjoying the countryside in late May.

Nice picture of the London Eye. Good shot.

I have not been to London in many years. I hate big cities. It frightens me. Mind you, I lived in london for 20 odd year, before I moved to the country. Much quieter.

Fuji E900

These are stone carved walnuts from the local garden centre.

I tried to lift one and all I could say "Oh, nuts". Must be about 30 Kg each. :-)

And now, for a little colour from the same place. Much needed in February.

Those are great photos, pr126-

You knowI always love colourful flowers. By the way the reason that I was gone was because I had to travel to do a seminar for Nikon. But I am now back home and taught both classes today.

Today, I offer a bit of Mexico for you.

I purchased an E900 a couple of days ago and unfortunately I plan to return it. I bought an E550 a year ago and was very pleased with it compared to my previous 3.3 mp Olympus. I thought the E900 would be the same improvement over the E550. It is not. I compared many photos taken side by side by my E550 and the new E900 and almost every time the E550 photo was just as good or better. The purple fringe is worse on the E900, fine detail is lost in places like grass, hair, trees, flash photos don't have the same level of detail as the E550 and the E900 photos seem flat compared to the E550.

If I was moving from the 3.3 mp camera directly to the E900 I would be very impressed and happy. I like the rubber feel of the E900 but I have to say that based on the camera I purchased, if you have the E550 you will not be happy with the E900.

Just my opinion.

bdaniel, sorry to hear that the E900 is a disappointment for you. I have never seen the E550 so I cannot compare.

Hovewer, I am quite happy with the E900 and also the S9500, I own them both.

I am surprised to hear that a 3.3 MP has given you far more detail that the 9MP can.

I would suggest that you take somemore test photos in similar settings and lighting as the E550 before you decide to take it back.

regards.

Great photos, pr126-

The colours are wonderful. I was reflecting on the comparison of the E-900 to the E-550. So, I pulled out my own E-550. Yes, it does do a good job, but personally I believe the E-900, goes a step farther Here is a daffodil sample from the E-550.
