Thanks! Have you experienced quick start-up time? And is the camera relatively quiet? I like to shoot candid shots which means quick and quiet.

It is quite quick, and anysound the camera makes can be set to the desired level or off completely.

Take candid shots at family level, or people who would not object if their photos are taken. Especially, if it is for public display, like the Internet.

Respecting other peoples privacy is a good thing.

I read all the reviews I could about the E-900 before purchasing, and finally bought it and have enjoyed using this camera very much. Here is an example of a self-portrait taken at a lake this week. Auto ISO400. Titled this The Red Triangle.
