Hi these are of the newly revamped bridge over the River Bann - Portadown N.Ireland.

Pics are Resized and usm applied - no other pp applied!!

Very nice! But I wonder what they would be like if they were taken with a "real quality camera" (pun intended).

I haven't done a lot of night to photography. But here is one that I took with my 9000. I liked how it better in black and white than I did the color original.

Sorry u have completely lost me there!!! maybe night shift is getting to me - can u explain more - maybe i missed something but is there something wrong with my camera???

Oh no! I'm sorry. I have been following a number of different discussions about the 9000/9500, and some people are criticizing the camera that it takes very noisy and soft images. I was just suggesting that maybe such critics should take a look at pictures like the ones you have posted. I think your images are very nice, and that they have something to prove to those who have been critical on this camera model.

Nise picture, I have been trying to take some night pictures with my Fuji S9500, but dont seem to have been able to get them as clear as yours, if you have any tips that may help me they are more than welcome,

Ray,

Set the camera to Aperture Priority (set aperture 'wide open')

Set ISO 400 (if too noisy try 200)

ALWAYS use viewfinder and brace camera against self and/or sturdy object

SQUEEZE the shutter button GENTLY as if it were a shelled soft boiled egg

MOST IMPORTANT: relax and HAVE FUN
