Default S602 users: Give me your words of wisdom

Hi there...just ordered my first digicam (long time photographer), the S602. I would like any bits of wisdom you wish you knew before you started buying batteries, storage cards, etc. Give me invaluable tips on the camera that are not in the manual.

Thanks for the help!!!!!

I just ordered the S602 also. I have read reports that there are problems with some CF cards and that a Microdrive or a faster CF card is recomended. I got a pretty good deal on the IBM 1GB MD at googlegear.com $190 with free shipping. I think they have lowered the price again too. I have also read postings from a forum member who has had great luck with the Transcend 512mb CF card. These are avaiable at Newegg.com for $119.
Steve has some great reviews on rechargable batteries and chargers, some of which I ordered from Thomas Distributing.
I hope this helps!

Get a 55-55mm adapter tube and a UV filter to keep on the cameras at all times. The telescoping lens seems very fragile. As well, this protiects the lens. www.camerafilters.com or www.2filter.com

If you want good indoor pictures, an external flash is not an option.

First, read the 602 FAQ at: http://www.marius.org/fuji602faq.php

Then go to http://www.dpreview.com/forums/forum.asp?forum=1012 and read any threads that look like they are asking the same questions you are.

Also look at this reference: http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/re...essage=4613798

I would suggest www.proshooter.homestead.com It is much more informative than those other links.
