I am looking for some help and hope that some of you can help.

My problem is that on my S9500 ( Ausie Model ) when I set my ISO to Auto in low light conditions I would expect that the ISO rating would increase. With my camera this is not the case, it just increases the shutter time. Does this sound strange anyone ???

I would appreciate any help

Thanks John

Interesting question John. I had not noticed that, as I mostly use ISO 100 - 400 in the P S A M modes.

The info on P61 of the manual about setting the ISO seems to indicate that auto ISO can only be selected in shooting modes other than P S A M, and that the camera selects the best sensitivity.

I wonder what shooting mode you use with auto ISO John? Do you notice the ISO does not change in the camera info, or in the image exif data? As far as I see it does not display in the viewfinders.
