aaaaarrrrgh - am i destined to carry my canon 35mm around with me whenever i go to the zoo. No matter how hard I try, I cannot focus out the bars / wires from the cages. There just does not see to be enough range in the focus to achive this.
nothing i have tried seems to match the results of a 35mm slr.
Anything anyone can suggest would be great. the camera in question is a fuji 9500

Dept of field calculator.

Try here . These are camera specific. Scroll down in the selection for your Fuji 9500.
Hope it helps. But read up on depth of field in general.
