Hi.........

I have a S5600 and have used the TL-FX9 lens attached you do not need to use the adapter that the lens comes with just put the lens straight on the camera. Isay have used as I found the Tcon-17 1.7x lens to give better perfomance over the TL-FX9 lens.

It the same with the WL-fx9 lens no need for the adapter just screw straight on the the camera but the Tcon-07 is a better wide angle lens than the Fuji offering

Hi spunkmyer,

Can you please post some shots you took with the TCON-17?

I am also considering one, and I have been reading about it also on this forum on a different thread, but in general more input is better. Also if you have any comments regarding the camera behaviour when using TCON is more than welcome. By behaviour I mean: auto-focus issues, apperture influence and so on ...

No problem, first I'm no expert and I am stillat the start of my learning envelope but if anything I can do to help then I will try.

I have attached a shot taken will the Tcon 17 at full zoom which was taken on a bright sunny day. My ISO was 100, lens speed 1/630, exposure normal apature was f3.6 i think.

To be honest I have found that most of my photos are and will be of aircraft at airshows so I am still trying to keep the camera shake free while trying to track the aircraft in the sky which is taking some practice.

I also noticed no real problems with auto focus either in C/f or S/f mode while using the Tcon-17. I have noticed a blue hue around aircraft in the sky but this was also found when using the Fuji lens.

Thanks gyus for your answers. I definitively have to buy the TCON-17. As you see my attached picture taken at an airshow june 11th, i need the TCON-17 to get the aircraft closer. Picture taken in shutter-mode 1/500 with 10*zoom without tripod.

@spunkmyer: great duck picture!

@havn: could you post a link to those models? Could it be a US/EU code difference? As long as they are 55mm threaded they should work on the s5x00.

None of the above mentioned are usable for the S5x00.

You need to buy the TCON-17: http://www.olympus.co.uk/consumer/198_TCON-17.htm
