Well I've had it 2 days and have fired about 200 shots !

I'm very pleased with my purchase so far but I can see I have a lot to learn with this camera!

I have posted a couple of my 1st pics. I'd be interested in any comments. Also let me know if they are too large to post here!

Regards, Bloater

Congrats on your new camera, enjoy it!

Great set of pics. Your cars shots are great - good angle and composition.

Like the night shot a lot, good details and exposure.

cheers,

Alex

Congrats bl0at3r[/b]! Great pic's, I love the first couple; you really captured the blue and the chrome in the second shot. Well done on the night shot too, great angle.

Just incase anyone wondered. my website http://www.megap1xel.co.uk is just to show off my hobby, there is not any financial side or business involved.

I'm not keen on these free image hosting sites so I built my own. :blah:

Hi

Now you've had your 9500 for a little while, how are you finding it.

I'm having loads of problems with mine, I hacven't taken a single decent image with mine. They're all grainy, noisy and blurred even with a tripod.

My s5000 is miles better.

I sent my new 9500 back to fuji and they returned it saying it was working perfectly, yet my s5000 is still loads better.

Maybe the 9500 just doesn't suit me, think its time to ebay it.....

hi toad,

one thing I am sure of is that it is not a P&S camera, i have taken nice shots on AUTO but definately get nicer results by 'fiddling' with the settings in manualor priority modes. Others seems to favour up'ing the sharpnessor usingthe chrome setting. I have set mine on ISO 100 rather than using the auto iso setting - keep below 400 and the noise/grain should be kept at bay.

from what I have read here and on other forums there may be a few bad ones around (i'm hoping minedoesn't fail!!!) the quality control does seem a little lapse at times.

i am still pleased withmy oneand am enjoying experimenting with digital photography. Ihave still managed to take quite a few dodgy pics but usually down to my shaky hands or not using the correct settings - but as it's digital you just discard the dodgy ones either at the time or later on the pc.

sorry yours doesn'tproduce shots you're happy with. perhaps you could post some examples for others to compare?
