Default

I bought myselfthe fuji s9500camera. Every time i take a picture it seems to be slightly out of focus, what can i do improve. I dont know much of photography. Please help with some settings and mabe links to help me. Thank you.

Well, as he/she stated, they are using the S9500. First of all, I would suggest that you just keep taking pictures and familiarize yourself with the camera. Here are a few suggestions you might like to try.

1. Rather than shoot everything in auto mode, try using aperture priority automatic with the aperture set at around 5.6.
2. For the sharpest pictures, use the lowest ISO setting possible. I like to use mine on 80 or 100 most of the time.
3. When you depress the shutter button halfway, make sure the little area in the middle of the viewfinder is centered on something that you want in focus. If the camera doesn't confirm the focus (the double beep) then it hasn't focused on anything specific and may produce unsatisfactory results. After the camera confirms the focus, keep the button halfway pressed and frame the image the way you want it.
4. You may want to consider using continuous auto focus rather than single auto focus. The focus process is much more responsive, but you might want to make sure you have extra sets of batteries.
