I'm very happy with the Fuji F30. If you are looking for a compact camera that does well even in low light.... this is the one.

Meanstreak-

It is great to hear that you like your Fuji F-30. Ilike mine a lot.

Meanstreak-

You may want to consider a protector sheet on the F-30 LCD. The F-30's LCD is a bare LCD, which differs from the F-10/F-11 which had a clear plastic protector on them.

Really happy with my f30 so far too. Great little camera.

About the lcd protector, I'm not sure I need one if I keep it in the case when not shooting? Also which one do you recommend MT?

Saw this one posted on another board and it looks pretty good. Not sure I want to put adhesive on the screen though.

pinon-

PurpleMoonis the one I am currently using and it went on quite easily and gave me a bit more confidence. Like you I also keep my F-30 in a case, but I just wanted to be sure.

Well if you like it, I'll probably get one then. The fairly large lcd screen makes it nice for viewing pictures but I'm sure I'm the only one that will keep my fingers off the screen. :-)

That is so funny.... I was gonna ask about one but forgot. Is purplemoon the brand you use for your 5D also?

Are you using a FUJI case made for the camera or just something generic? I'm not even sure they have a camera specific one.

Here's the official case, out of stock but it's around elsewhere I'm sure

The one I'm using. Leather, fits the camera nicely, I'm pleased with it.

Here the case I bought...

http://cgi.ebay.com/SuperSlim-Real-L...QQcmdZViewItem

Fits pretty good, but the velcro is really rough and I fear the camera body (or more likely the LCD will get scratched as I pull the camera out...

I since put an LCD protector on the camera, but I'm still weary of the velcro scratching the camera body *shrug*
