No tips, but thanks for sharing, I've been looking at the S9000 recently and seeing actual user shots is a big help.

In that first shot did the leaves have all those dark purple spotchs? Did you do any post processing to the images or just resize them? There seem to be a lot of stray white specks in the first and last image, I'd almost say noise but it's not really much like the nose I'm used to seeing (Pana FZ30).

Cute shot of the groundhogs. :-)

For some images taken with the S9000, I would highly suggest taking a look at both the images tagged "S9000" on flickr:
