Edit the message, press the 'browse' button, and use the file selector to point to the image file location on your machine. If it's anywhere else, the forum software won't download it.

If that's not the answer, I don't know what is. Try sending a 'pm' to a moderator, perhaps.

vex, I tired to edit your post and used the browse function to post the photo, and it just made it an attachment again.

Your best be would be to use a photo sharing site, like photobucket.com, then post the image by clicking on the insert image button (three colored circles along the top of the message editor) and pasting the image url.

You can also copy the code right from photobucket, underneath of your images there are I think three types. You want the one with the [img] in front.

If you need any help, let me know.

I'll see if I can figure out why this is happening as well.

The image is way too large (dimensions in pixels) for posting in a forum thread. See the reply I posted in this thread you started about it:

Thanks for the response Jim. I dont know what the heck I was doing wrong ,but i was reducing it down to what I thought was the required size. I tried it again tonight and it worked . Thanks for the help guys

You reduced it so that file size wasn't too large (we have a limit of around 250,000 bytes for the maximum file size allowed).

But, the size in dimensions (width x height in pixels) exceeded what the forums software will display in a post.
