It's amazing how the mind interprets optical input. I have looked at that picture every which way and all I see is an airplane flying straight and level with two bright contrails that APPEAR to be coming from the tail! If you are trying to make it look like a crash in progress, I think you have failed. I also don't think it is the least bit funny.

  • silent_freak - Thought it a good idea......... he's Danish [/*]
  • suze thought it so good she nearly stopped dancing (love your avatar by the way).................. she is British [/*]
  • aladyforty laughed so much, she nearly fell out of her 'ute'.........she is Australian.[/*]
Nothing wrong with this, but please bear one thing in mind. You may have done already by now............Cal is American, (or at least lives there).

9/11 anybody ?

I am not castigating anybody here, just wish to point out thatas this didn't affect a lot of us non Americans directly, (but we do still feel for you), itis understandable that as time has passed, we may not think of it as often as we once did. Consequently we can sometimes be, can I say, a little insensitive.

I'm pretty darn sure that silent_freak never meantto offend, would it be fair to say you just didn't think ? Particularly with the subject title.

I hope Cal and anyone else offended by this can understand and forgive our occasional forgetfulness.

Regards,

Stevekin.

just a reminder stevekin, we Aussies lost quite a lot of of our countrymen and women in 9/11. So did many other countries. The photo was not meant to mean anything about terrorists crashing planes. Now if a building or tower had been in the shot that would be another matter.

I live in New York and i'm not offended by the picture, just thought let you know. But I am a pilot and it looks like you were a little lazy is portraying your picture. There is no reference to the ground or anything. The only way a contrail can form is when the air is super cooled to produce ice crystals from the exhaust of the engine. No way would a plane ever have a contrail on its way down in a crash. Sorry but it just isn't funny or interesting for that fact. And your comment "yes! i turned the picture 180 degrees" well ill just leave that alone because you obviously think it was some amazing thing you did...:? Sorry to seem so mean, but you picked the wrong subject.
