I want to have some photos printed ... probably 5X7 and 8X10. I'd like to know which service people tend to use .... and why.

www.mpix.com.
Good prices, great service, quick turnaround. They also have a lot of cool speciality type options. |

I have used mpix as well and they are great to deal with. Recently tried Sutterfly and was very pleased with them as well. They had cheaper print prices (4X6) and shipping charges than mpix, but the quality was still very good.

I use mpix for anything above 4 x 6; for those I use Shutterfly. The latter also has some nice photo books and gifts. You won't be disappointed in your mpix photos. Check the May issue of Popular Photography; it rated the US online services.
