Hello, I have a canon S100 digital elph, its pretty old, but it has worked really well.
A while back I started having a problem with it. Seemed like the batteries were dieing way to fast. I thought the batteries were old and wore out so I bought a couple of batteries from ebay.
I charged up these batteries and the camera took a few pictures before it started flashing the dead battery light and turning its self off.
I thought maybe it was my battery charger so I used my multimeter on the batteries, they are supposed to be 3.7 volts but meter at 4.1 volts. I tried charging one on my RC car charger it went for about 20 minutes at .5 amps.
Anyway the battery never gets warm when charging but I have noticed the camera warm up around the front when the its on with a battery in it.
Has anybody ever ran into a camera that works perfectly but thinks it has a dead battery when it doesn't.
