Is theCanon S500 Digital ELPH a better way to go? I have the Pentax OptioS4 but the image quality isn't that great. The pictures come out too dark most of the time. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you!

Well, before rushing out and buying another camera, I'd figure out why the images were coming out too dark from the Pentax.
Were they inside photos with flash? Were you inside the stated flash range? Do you have any examples? Look, I don't want to discourage you from looking at other cameras, if you are unhappy with the Pentax. However, you may find that the identical problems exist with other camera models, too. Your pictures are underexposed for a reason. If we can determine why, then you may be able to make simple adjustments (either to your shooting style, or to the camera's settings) to compensate. It could be something as simple as you needing to change metering modes, or use EV Compensation in some lighting. |
