There are some surprisingly good add-on lenses to pocket cameras that aren't amazingly expensive. Let me dig though my archive of links....
Yes, there it is. Eagle Eye makes the surprisingly good OpticZoom 5x add-on lens. They are large (i.e. several inches long) but they work well. http://www.eagleeyeuk.com/erol2eu/erol.html I'm not sure you'll find something that adds that much magnification that works as well. Its a UK company, but I believe they are also sold in the states. I'd contact them. Beyond them... I don't know of another (but since I have a DSLR, I haven't really looked.) There are several makers of add-on lenses which are rather bad. Raynox is one that comes to mind. If you go this route, be very careful which you get and try to find others with them to see example pictures.... some are real duds just produced to take advantage of you. Eric |
