I was recently told by the police to stop taking photographs at Liverpool Street train station in London.

The policewoman was very polite and apologetic, to do with anti-terrorism laws, etc. She obviously knew it was a load of nonsense. She pointed me to the correct place to go and get permission if I wanted to continue.

I find it sad how the civil liberties of millions are being trampled on just on the off chance that somewhere there is a terrorist clever enough to build and plant a bomb but so stupid that they couldn't take surreptitious photos or video of our public places.

Quite absurd; and I do believe the policewoman thought so too because she certainly didn't threaten to take away my equipment.

Thanks for the additional info SJ - I will persue it when I get the time. Here's the photo I did get BEFORE being asked to stop. Maybe it was the Chief illegally parking his car.
